why would a magnet attracts iron

Wind liquor persuade
[Prophet]
There is a magnetic field around the magnet. In a magnetic field, some of the original magnetic material can not become a magnetic material, called magnetization. Such as iron Drawer magnets can be magnetized in a magnetic field into a "new magnet." Magnets are polar, and same-sex poles repel, opposite poles attract. Because iron is magnetized, the "new Magnets" the N-pole and S-pole of the magnet relative to the original, the magnet can suck iron.

In fact, not just a magnet attracts iron. Any material which can be magnetized, such as iron, nickel, cobalt and alloys thereof can be attracted by a magnet. However, some materials, such as copper, tin, aluminum, etc. do not have the properties which can be magnetized, can not be attracted by a magnet.
